Black Powder was added in the July 29, 2026 update alongside the Blender Gun improvements and Blueprint flipping controls. It is Atomcraft entry-level explosive: a spark-triggered compound made from three readily available reagents, less catastrophic than Nitroglycerin but reliable enough for mining shafts, demolition work, and controlled blast chambers.
Crafting Black Powder
Combine the following three materials in a reaction chamber:

- Press the Button; the Heater sparks and ignites the Black Powder.
For more precision, use a Timer to delay ignition after the Button press, giving you time to retreat.

- Store Black Powder away from active heat sources until you are ready to blast
- Do not place Black Powder adjacent to your main forge - a temperature fluctuation could trigger premature ignition
- Use conveyor locks or filter pixels to move Black Powder only when the blast zone is clear
- The explosion does not discriminate between ore and bedrock; plan your blast geometry before pressing the Button
