The world map is a navigation instrument. Zoom out to understand biome transitions and ship distance. Zoom in to mark shafts, ore pockets, and safe loops. Search, mark, then dig with intent instead of carving a highway through empty stone.

Surface → Wood, Cuprite, Flint/Pyrite, early Sulfur and Sand routes via Atomcraft early game materials. Lighting, Firestarter safety, and Left-Ctrl sorting matter more as vertical travel time increases. Refresh Atomcraft controls if pipette habits are sloppy.

Creatures, artifacts, and side objectives

Map pages focus on materials and layout, but exploration also yields creatures, artifacts, and scanner targets. Treat combat as a logistics tax: carry exits, do not dig a dead-end arena beside an acid reservoir. Artifact hunting is easier when map markers exist for return trips.
